The Expensive Fair

Movers came and packed up our house the first week of September - whew...not fun at all...so after all that stress, chaos, and headache..we needed some good family fun. Since Military got in free to the fair on September 11th, we decided to go have a fun day at the fair.

Well...let me tell you...the fair is a rip off!! Luckily we got in free or that would have been an extra fee, but each ride was atleast $4-5 dollars..each. We couldn't believe it. So, we told the boys they could each pick 1 ride (just 1 a that price!) CJ chose a high jump trampoline ride and Preston chose the Llama ride. Sometimes I just laugh at what makes my kids smile!

Regardless of the high, rediculous prices, we still had fun doing the "free" stuff...like touring a train (ok..donation of $2.00...we can handle that!), watching the mutton busting (for those of you who don't know what this is...it is little 3-5 year olds riding sheep and it is a competition to see who can stay on the longest...it is quite entertaining. Those are some brave little whipper snappers...). Then we saw, pet and smelled all the animals from the sheep and goats to the pigs and chickens. We even saw the animals made from fruit! Fun times for all.

However, we didn't stay too long...of course the price of food was rediculous too...so we all chose to go out to Red Robin instead! Yum, Yum. Day well spent.
