Ward Weird-o-s

Here we are on our Saturday Night...what did you do?

Maybe this should be our Christmas card picture this year!!!!

CJ and Clay came home with these glasses after making a Saturday run to the commissary!!! Fun times.

Girly Preparations!!!

Laura and Clay had a busy week putting together the nursery... we felt it was time to get the girl preparations going....here is the result of our labors... PINK and BROWN!!!!

The yellow roses are the roses Clay gave Laura when we found out we were expecting this baby! The picture was painted by Laura's Mom and it hung in Laura's room growing up.

The crib....we got the bedding set from the baby shower!! Thanks Nana and Papa..it is perfect!

Soft comfy chair that rocks...perfect for those late night feedings.

Changing table and frame that Laura put together!

Laura made these boxes from baby wipe boxes covered in left over fabric and ribbon....they turned out really great!

The 30 week Blooming Belly!!

January is coming quickly....aghhhh

Visitors and Baby shower!!!

Laura's Parents, sister and friend came to visit last weekend. We had a great time with Nana, Papa, Julie and Heather. While they were here, Laura's friend, Megan, threw her a baby shower! We got a lot of cute little girl things!!! The boys wouldn't let Papa out of their sight....when we went anywhere....they made sure that Papa was squeezed into the back seat with them! Now that they are gone, we have the constant question...."When are we going to Papa's house." We just love visitors!

The boys enjoying Papa close by....literally!

Mom, Laura, Julie and Heather

Laura and Megan (who is expecting in December)...it has been fun sharing the pregancy journey with a friend!

Alaska Adventure

Clay headed off to Alaska for a week...and when he returned he brought souveniors!!!

Laura's never had the individual toe socks...but she has to admit...they are pretty comfy!!
Thanks Clayboy!!!

Is it Halloween Again?

What 2 year olds do while Mom is cleaning up the kitchen from dinner....dress-up! He promised to only draw on the paper....well, apparently when the paper was full, he went to his face and then the hands....and now he calls himself the cat! Oh Preston...

Happy Halloween Haunting

Our Finished Product! The boys had fun picking out what kind of face they wanted on their pumpkin! Mom's arm was sore after we were done....but we had fun!
Cowboy CJ!
Batman Preston!
Pumpkin Preston in the leaves having some outdoor fun!
Ghost CJ, scarying everyone and practicing his "BOO"
Pumpkin Preston!
Cute Boys! Thank goodness for dressup clothes, because the boys changed their minds as to what they wanted to be for every event! They were one thing for school, another for the ward trunk or treat, and yet something different for the actual Halloween night! But, as long as the kiddos are happy, we are happy! Happy Halloween!

We were all very excited about OUR own 3 pumpkins that we were able to grow in our little garden out back! Yipee....we were thrilled!!

During Clay's week off after getting home from deployment #4, the crew decided to head for the border (Idaho/Washington) and check out one of the corn mazes in the area. It was lots of fun running around in there and trying not to get lost. Even with a map it was a bit challenging, but we survived for the most part. The only casualties were CJ and Preston, who found it much more interesting to sit on Mom and Dad's shoulder's in order to look over the corn and beyond. There was a kettlecorn stand at the corn maze called 'CJ's Kettlecorn', so even though it was getting close to (or pretty much past) the boys' bedtime, we did enjoy a few sweet morsels of delight on the way home.....in honor of CJ of course.

Tickled PINK

Yes, it is true....we are having a little girl enter the Ward family! Everyone is sooo excited! To share the news with the boys, Clay and Laura bought our first doll - and gave it to the boys. We are hoping to practice being gentle and soft with a girl before the actual one arrives....so far, we have found the baby girl (whom the boys have named Dora), thrown, pulled, undressed, smothered in kisses, hugged, taken on walks, and pretty much tortured in every way...hopefully they get better in the upcoming months....oh boy!

The 20 week Prego Belly

I thought this picture was just too cute of Preston showing off his little belly too!

Brotherly Love

Our cute boys out "Workin" as they call it! They just looked so cute in their rain boots and hats!

Girl Time

Beware! This is what happens when you get too many sisters in one house! Becky was doing Laura and Nicole's hair so it would be curly! However, in order to have cute curls in the morning, we needed to have crazy little buns the night before! My camera's battery died, so I don't have pictures of the cute curles...

Stayin' with the Cousins

CJ digging for dinosaur bones at Thanksgiving Point dinosaur museum.
All the kids in front of some scary looking ancient dinosaur shark thing.
Preston....loved the chickens! He would go out and talk to them, feed them, etc...he was fascinated by them and wanted to bring them home!
2 sisters with Matching cars...who knew!

Nicole and Lacey having some extra bonding time!
Crazy bath pictures with cousins!

We Love WATER

Laura and the boys stayed an extra few days with Corey and Nicole's family, the kids were having too much fun together (and honestly so were the adults....) that we just couldn't go home yet! There is a really neat little park with a water "stream" that the kids can play in....the kids loved it. It was perfect, not deep (so no drowning), rocks to climb on, sprinklers that spray, etc. The kids loved it!

Boating with Smiths

While in Utah, we spent a day with Brad and Debbie's family in Odgen. We went boating, tubing, and playing in the sand. It was a gorgeous day - we ended the day with pizza and sushi...wow, what a combo! As you can see from the pictures...everyone enjoyed themselves!

Lagoon/Family Reunion

We really wanted to go to Utah for a Smith Family get together, but since Clay couldn't go...Laura wasn't sure she wanted or even could drive all the way by herself pregnant with two kids. After much debate and struggle - Laura decided she just couldn't do it on her own....then came the phone call! Dad and Mom called Laura up and told her to pack her bags, Dad was flying in to come and drive with them so they could be there. What a Dad...

We had such a great time being together! We all had a great time at lagoon - riding the wild rides, eating slushies, getting soaking wet on the rapids (Thanks to Corey), and just laughing and having fun together! Memories.
Thanks again Dad for helping us make it for the fun!

Weekend Fun at the Lake

We have been hearing about a lake that is about 20 minutes south of us, Clear Lake. This weekend, we took a family outting to go and discover this lake. We had so much fun. We played in the beach area and let the boys be the little fish that they are. We then rented a canoe and paddled around the lake looking at turtles, fish, and eating a snack. We finished of the lake experience with a trip to the playground....it was a successful day! We will definitely be back for more day trips to the lake.

CJ playing T-Ball

CJ has been talking about t-ball for the last year (he went to one of the neighbor girl's t-ball game last summer, and wanted to play ever since.) So, this year, it was finally his turn to play! He has done a great job! Go CJ!

The BIKE ride...

We took Clay's family on the Hiawatha Trail- which is an old railroad converted into a 14 mile bike trail. There are several tunnels, bridges, canyons, and beautiful landscape. It was a long trail, but everyone made it..our rumps were a little sore, but we all came out triumphant...WE DID IT!

All together now....

Ward Family Reunion

The whole Ward Crew was together for a weekend! Clay's 3 sisters and parents came all the way to Spokane so we could all be together! We kept busy biking 14 miles on the Hiawatha Trail, spending countless hours at the local theme park Silverwood, chasing kids, and trying to catch some zzz's in between all the fun. Thanks for coming eveyone!

Ward Campout

We finally made it to a ward campout! In the years since we have been married, this was the first time that we have been able to attend our own ward campout! Clay was in town, everyone was well, and the weather was good- so off to the woods we went! It was HOT, HOT, HOT, so we were sooo grateful for the river to cool off in. We literally spent 2 1/2 full days swimming, splashing and tubing down the river. The boys were in heaven - dirt, water, fire, and bugs - what fun times!

Yellow Roses #3

Yes, Laura received a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses from her sweetheart this week.... for those of you who don't know - there is a tradition in our house (Clay adopted the tradition from his parents) that when we find out we are expecting Clay gets Laura yellow roses. So...yes - we are having baby number 3 due January 20th. We told the boys by wrapping up candy bars and having them look like babies....CJ got it...Preston just wanted to open the thing and get to the candy.

"Back-yard"igans

As a fun treat for Dad and the boys....Clay set up the tent in the backyard and had a campout. Fun for the boys, and a night off for Laura - or so was the plan! It was a good plan! CJ loved it, Preston however, lasted about 5 minutes and he was back in the house complaining he was cold...so we got out his jacket, then he wanted socks and shoes, so we got those on...and Laura shipped him back outside. They didn't even get the tent zipped up before Preston was wanting his bed....so needless to say it was a Dad and SON campout; and a Mommy and SON sleepover in the house! Fun times....however, first thing in the morning, Preston was up and running for the tent! I guess you can't blame a boy for liking his bed....

Clay's Skydive Dream Come True

Skydiving...really? A pilot whose job is to keep planes safely in the air, is going to jump out of a perfectly good plane for fun? Yep...Clay has had the skydiving itch for a long time and has dreamed about going...so his day finally came. Clay made it home safe and sound from deployment number 3... and as a gift, he headed back up to the skies for his big jump that same week. Laura and the boys had fun watching Clay take off in the plane and then parachute down to the ground....we were all glad when Clay/ daddy was back on the ground safe and sound...whew.

Meet Spot....Our New DOG!!!

Meet Spot....we just got him...isn't he cute? CJ put this cute dog suit on - came out on all fours barking and insisting that we call him spot. Preston needed to dress up too, so we got the POOH outfit out of the closet and he was happy. Who needs a real dog when you have SPOT and POOH?
